“Each one has to find his peace from within. And peace to be real must be unaffected by outside circumstances.”

On this post Turo Park, Tutussaus and Oriol Balager...
The Turo park is a small peace
oasis amid the busy BelleBarcelone.
In the middle of one of
Barcelona's exclusive residential district, this cozy and elegant spot invites
you to go and read under its trees or to just walk, think and breathe. If you
enter from the main entrance on Pau Casals, you will be welcome by the
sculpture of this famous violinist. Beautiful palm trees, magnolias, children's
area, ping pong tables, a small bar, w.c...Turo Park is a nice park to
stop by when you are around that area.
Just on the small side lane
, longing the park, C/ de Francesc Perez-Cabrero 5, you have Tutussaus.
Open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 9.30 pm and Saturday from 9am to 2pm. You can buy all sort of national and imported cheeses. It is also a cute place to stop by when you are shopping around. I go often alone or with a friend, for a coffee, a bowl of soup or a refreshing salad, a nice crunchy sandwich or an amazing chocolate profiteroles.

You also have the Jofre stores on the left and right. If you walk ahead, you reach the Plaça de Sant Gregori Taumaturg, where you
come across this interesting round church.
It is beautiful to admire it from
outside and if you want you can always enter and pray in this simple church.
On the plaça itself, you have the
famous Oriol Balaguer pastry store.
Oriol Balaguer, is a world Champion Pastry Chef and Chocolatier. His Eight
Chocolate Textures (sponge, caramel, mousse, sorbet, brittle, cream, sauce and
a thin chocolate wafer) was the name of the creation for which he received the
award for the World’s Best Dessert in 2001. That was during the seven-year
period that Balaguer spent working in the research workshop at elBulli
with Ferran Adrià. "My stay there taught me new ways of thinking,
creating, blending flavors and trying out new ideas". I recommend you to
try this chocolate cake, it is really exquisite!
You also have the Cinesa Diagonal on the c/Santa Fe de Nou Mexic and a huge park beside it where all teenagers hang around . Opposite
the Cinesa you have a place called Imagine where you get lovely quiches.
Movie and quiche? Walk and chocolate cake? Reading and a glass of wine?
Have fun!
